Se realizó un estudio descriptivo con un componente analítico en el personal de salud del Hospital Municipal Francés con el objetivo de conocer la prevalencia de portadores nasales de SAMR y su perfil de susceptibilidad antimicrobiana en tres servicios de dicha institución, durante el periodo comprendido entre marzo a junio 2011. Mediante la técnica de siembra por agotamiento y difusión estandarizada de Bauer-Kirby según los criterios de la National Commitee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) A descriptive study was carried out with an analytical component in the health staff of the Hospital Municipal Francés with the objective of knowing the prevalence of nasal carriers of MRSA and its antimicrobial susceptibility profile in three services of this institution during the period between March to June 2011.
