El Programa de Electricidad para Vivir con Dignidad (PEVD) creado mediante Decreto Supremo Nº 29635, de fecha 9 de julio de 2008, tiene la finalidad de contribuir al incremento de la cobertura y el acceso al servicio básico de electricidad de la población boliviana, principalmente del área rural, hasta el año 2025. A este objeto el programa ha intervenido en los nueve departamentos de Bolivia, con una presencia de más de 240 municipios, implementando tecnologías de extensión de redes en media y baja tensión, microcentrales hidroeléctricas, sistemas fotovoltaicos domiciliarios, sistemas fotovoltaicos sociales, picosistemas fotovoltaicos, sistemas hídricos solar - diésel y solar eólico, y distribución de focos ahorradores, contribuyendo a mejorar la calidad de vida de la población boliviana más vulnerable del área rural. The Electricity for Living with Dignity (PEVD) Program created by Supreme Decree No. 29635, dated July 9, 2008, has the purpose of contributing to the increase of coverage and access to the basic electricity service of the Bolivian population, mainly from the rural area, up to the year 2025.
