En Bolivia, existe una Ley de la República , que dispone la transferencia del Servicio del Registro Civil, emergente de un simple acuerdo político a la Corte Nacional Electoral, creándose la Dirección General del Registro Civil. La ley de transferencia Nro. 1367, en forma expresa aclara su condición de temporal. Que habiendo transcurrido bastante tiempo de su dictación, urge sugerir la creación de un capítulo especial dentro del nuevo proyecto de la Ley de Organización Judicial, normando la inserción del Servicio de Registro Civil, a la administración del Poder Judicial
