Su obra no es "abundante", pero en la concentración que tiene hay una complejidad que trasluce su vida, sus reflexiones, sus lecturas, su fe y sobre todo una ética. claro que nada de esto es ajeno a obra alguna, sin embargo, aquí la presencia del otro se impone como expresión de una ética pensada y presente en el lenguaje. Y la observación casi contemplativa de un paisaje que ha de tomar consistencia como mundo -el mundo en el que le fue dado vivir a él mismo., poeta; el mundo en el que le ha de nombrar ese mundo, en que ha de hablar de él-; todos estos aspectos dan cuenta de una estética.

Solo después de tener acceso a la entrevista que Luis H. Antezana J. hizo al poeta se termina de comprender que la poesía para Roberto Echazú sería eso que desea atrapar pero que es por definición inatrapable: "el summum de la cosa"; "el anverso y el reverso" de la tensión entre vivencia y experiencia poética; esa décima víbora que se nos escapa, ilesa, salvaje, quizá peligrosa.

And the almost contemplative observation of a landscape that has to take consistency as a world -the world in which it was given to live himself., Poet; the world in which he has to name that world, in which he must speak of him-; all these aspects give an aesthetic account.

Antezana J. made to the poet is it finished to understand that the poetry for Roberto Echazú would be what he wants to catch but that is by definition untraceable: "the summum of the thing"; "the obverse and the reverse" of the tension between experience and poetic experience; that tenth viper that escapes us, unharmed, savage, perhaps dangerous.
