Esta guía de forrajeras, es el resultado de las investigaciones desarrolladas con los productores beneficiarios del proyecto BEISA 3, sobre establecimiento de áreas cerradas al pastoreo y la evaluación de forrajeras nativas, al mismo tiempo servirá como documento de consulta, cuando el ganadero decida iniciar un proceso de establecimiento de especies forrajeras nativas en su sistema, sin desconocer los ecosistemas naturales en el espacio y tiempo.
