Este documento, en cualquier circunstancia, representa nítidamente la certeza del inicio de la vida independiente de la nueva República, lograda después de la guerra de los quince años. Es, igualmente, testimonio perenne de la existencia de un Estado soberano que viene desenvolviéndose hace ciento ochenta y dos años. En ese lapso se produjo la evolución del constitucionalismo boliviano que lo examinamos de manera sucinta señalando algunas de las modificaciones relevantes efectuadas durante el siglo XX y principios del siglo XXI, con la indicación, de las reformas incorporadas a la Constitución Política del Estado.

This document, in any circumstance, clearly represents the certainty of the beginning of the independent life of the new Republic, achieved after the war of fifteen years. It is also a perennial testimony of the existence of a sovereign State that has been developing for one hundred and eighty-two years. During this period the evolution of Bolivian constitutionalism took place and we examined it succinctly, pointing out some of the relevant changes made during the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, with the indication of the reforms incorporated into the Political Constitution of the State.
