Hoy en día, voluntariado es un término popular y forma parte de nuestro lenguaje y vida cotidiana. Se ha convertido en un mito, junto a las Ong y la solidaridad. Pero, se trata de solidaridad como encuentro. Y significa despertar del sueño de inhumanidad en el que vivimos son darnos cuenta. Es encontrarse con el mundo de injusticia y no quedarse indiferentes. Además, hay que tener la suficiente capacidad para pensar y vivir de otra manera
