<br/><br/> La colección de 142 fotografías tipo cartes de visite o tarjetas de visita que el Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas y Museo Arqueológico de la Universidad Mayor de San Simón (INIAM-UMSS) pone a disposición del público, es parte de su política institucional orientada a visibilizar la riqueza patrimonial que resguarda. <br/><br/>Consideramos que será un importante aporte a la historiografía boliviana por dos razones: 1) visibiliza el rostro y, en muchos casos, la escritura de los verdaderos constructores de la historia: los hombres y las mujeres de carne y hueso y 2) permite abordar a partir de su presentación, elementos que hacen a lo intangible en el pasado: las identidades (individuales y sociales), los imaginarios, el poder, los entramados relacionales, las relaciones de género, los circuitos territoriales de articulación de personas y de objetos y, los emblemas de identidad decimonónicos.  The collection of 142 photographs, cartes of visit or business cards that the Institute of Anthropological Research and Archaeological Museum of the Universidad Mayor de San Simón (INIAM-UMSS) makes available to the public, is part of its institutional policy aimed at making visible the patrimonial wealth that protects.<br/><br/>We consider that it will be an important contribution to Bolivian historiography for two reasons: 1) it makes the face visible and, in many cases, the writing of the true builders of history: the men and women of flesh and blood and 2) it allows to approach from its presentation, elements that make the intangible in the past: the identities (individual and social), the imaginaries, the power, the relational networks, the gender relations, the territorial circuits of articulation of people and objects and, the emblems of nineteenth-century identity.<br/>
