Hoy en día ser campesino implica un actor productivo que vive en el área rural, dedicado generacionalmente a la actividad pecuaria y principalmente agrícola y que en el tiempo fue buscando estrategias de vida, frente a las inclemencias de los cambios climáticos que afectan y limitan la producción, el competir con productores agrícolas no solo en la misma región sino de otras que ofrecen precios inferiores al suyo en los mercados y ferias, y finalmente el acceso limitado a la tecnología y créditos que afectan la ampliación de la frontera agrícola, todos estos aspectos hacen que se desestimule la producción o incluso no vuelva a iniciar el próximo ciclo agrícola, lo que conlleva dejar de ser campesinos temporalmente como definitivamente e ingresar a procesos de descampenización. Nowadays, being a farmer implies a productive actor that lives in the rural area, dedicated generationally to the livestock and mainly agricultural activity and that in time was looking for life strategies, facing the inclemencies of the climatic changes that affect and limit the production , competing with agricultural producers not only in the same region but others that offer lower prices than theirs in markets and fairs, and finally limited access to technology and credits that affect the expansion of the agricultural frontier, all these aspects make that production is discouraged or even that the next agricultural cycle does not begin again, which entails the temporary cessation of being peasants as definitively and the entering of processes of demo-dependence.
