La presente publicación pretende hacer una introducción de la evolución de la Contraloría en el tiempo, sus diferentes etapas históricas y retrocesos, llegando a lo que es hoy la institución. Asimismo, en la perspectiva de que el lector no solo conozca la parte histórica, sino también el trabajo que realiza la entidad, se ha complementado con una descripción de sus tareas, su estructura institucional y el alcance de su trabajo.

This publication intends to make an introduction of the evolution of the Comptroller's Office over time, its different historical stages and setbacks, reaching what is now the institution. Likewise, in the perspective that the reader not only knows the historical part, but also the work carried out by the entity, it has been complemented with a description of its tasks, its institutional structure and the scope of its work.
