La función notarial es bastante importante, puede conferirse concretamente como la actividad que despliega el Notario, configurándose como la facultad de provocar la actividad del Notario, identificándose con las diversas actividades que realiza dicho funcionario. La función notarial constituye los actos que practica el Notario, aunque sean de diversa naturaleza. La fe pública del Notario significa la capacidad de éste para que aquello que certifica sea creíble. Algunos autores opinan que el Notario es un funcionario público, otros afirman que es profesionista liberal, y otros que desarrolla una función pública.
The notary function is quite important, it can be conferred concretely as the activity that the Notary displays, being configured as the power to cause the activity of the Notary, identifying with the various activities performed by that official. The notarial function constitutes the acts performed by the Notary, even if they are of different nature.
